Spring Council

In April 2023 a group of our ladies took the ferry over to Portsmouth to attend Hampshire WI's Spring Council Meeting. This years speaker was Eddie The Eagle Edwards - wow, what an entertaining speaker. His film was shown on TV just a few weeks earlier so we were able to swat up on his journey to become the first competitor to represent Great Britain in Olympic Ski Jumping at the 1988 Winter Olympics. However, the film wasn't the whole story. He regaled us in his journey of true grit and determination. He didn't let anyone or anything stop him from reaching his Goal. He really was a very motivational speaker.
