"OUR STORY"

Our  WI  was  founded  in  1941 when meetings were held in a chicken shed.  Members  were soon  involved in  war work  picking  rosehips  for syrup;  soft  fruits  for  canning and  bottling.

The  group  grew  rapidly  and eventually moved to the Village Institute on Lymington Bottom which has been extended and  renamed Four Marks Village Hall.

Just  over 50 years ago Four Marks News, a magazine which is still in print today, was set up and the then President,  Valerie  Hobson was the first editor.  Members helped to collate the pages ready for distribution.

Today Four Marks  WI  is a thriving  community  asset bringing tother over 50  ladies  for  shared interests , fun and friendship
